David Burnfield is a Christian author, apologist, researcher, and teacher dedicated to defending the historical foundations of the Christian faith and exploring the rich theological heritage of the early Church. With a passion for evidence-based apologetics, Church history, and biblical studies, David has spent years investigating the historical reliability of Christianity and addressing difficult questions raised by both skeptics and believers. David is the author of Patristic Universalism and Assessing the Synoptic Problem, works that examine the teachings of the early Church Fathers and the historical and literary foundations of the New Testament.
His research emphasizes the importance of returning to the voices of the earliest Christian theologians and understanding how their teachings shaped the development of Christian doctrine.
Through his writing and teaching, David explores the historic Christian doctrine of universal restoration, highlighting the contributions of influential Greek-speaking Church Fathers such as Origen, Gregory of Nyssa, Clement of Alexandria, and others who viewed God's judgments as ultimately restorative rather than endlessly punitive. His work seeks to demonstrate that the hope of restoration has deep roots within the Christian tradition and is grounded in Scripture, theology, and Church history.
In addition to his theological studies, David has devoted considerable attention to evidential apologetics, examining the historical evidence for the Christian Faith. His research addresses questions concerning the reliability of the Gospel accounts, the formation of the New Testament, and the historical basis of Christian belief.
David continues to write, research, and teach on topics related to apologetics, Church history, biblical studies, and the ultimate restoration of all things in Christ.

Wendy Burnfield is the founder of Patristic Universalism Ministry, Christ is Victorious Podcast and Rocky Mountain Universalist Church,. She is an author, teacher, Christian apologist, and advocate for universal restoration as taught by many of the early Church Fathers. Called by God from an early age, Wendy sensed a divine purpose on her life beginning at the age of five.
Wendy is a collaborative author of Love Unrelenting, a work that explores the boundless love, grace, and faithfulness of God. She is also the author of Abundant Mercy and The Love and Compassion of God, books that reflect her passion for sharing the hope of restoration and the depth of God's unfailing love for all people. Through her writing, Wendy seeks to present a message centered on grace, mercy, and the victorious love of God.
For more than twenty-five years, Wendy served in evangelism, discipleship, pastoral care, and apologetics ministries. Her ministry experience includes work with Billy Graham Evangelism Missions and Crusades, Need Him Global Ministries, Fish-the-Net Ministries, and Voice of the Shepherd Apologetic Ministries. She also provided pastoral care within a large Southern Baptist congregation and has dedicated her life to helping others encounter the love, grace, and truth of Jesus Christ.
After spending nearly thirty years defending the doctrine of eternal conscious torment, Wendy embarked on an intensive study of Scripture, Church history, philosophy, and the writings of the early Greek-speaking Church Fathers. This journey led her to embrace Patristic Universalism; the belief that God's judgments are ultimately restorative and that Christ's victory over sin and death will culminate in the reconciliation of all creation.
David and Wendy have been married for over 40 years and have dedicated their lives to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
